Made by Hand,
Made with Heart
Every Wimbush piece passes through skilled hands. Here's how we make them.
From Hide to Heirloom
Six careful steps. No shortcuts. No compromise.
Selection
We hand-select full-grain hides from trusted tanneries — only the top 5% make the cut.
Cutting
Each panel is cut by hand, following the natural grain and avoiding any imperfections.
Edging
Raw edges are bevelled, sanded and burnished by hand until they're smooth to the touch.
Stitching
Saddle-stitched by hand or machine-sewn with waxed linen thread — built to last decades.
Finishing
Conditioned, polished and inspected. Any piece that isn't perfect doesn't leave the workshop.
Presentation
Wrapped in tissue, placed in a dust bag and boxed — ready to be gifted or kept.
Why We Still Do It by Hand
Machines are fast. Hands are careful. And when it comes to leather, careful wins every time.
Hand-cutting lets us follow the natural grain of each hide. Hand-stitching gives us control over tension, spacing and finish. Hand-burnishing creates an edge that feels as good as it looks.
It takes longer. It costs more. But it's the only way we know how to make something worth carrying for years.
See the Difference for Yourself
Every piece in our collection is made the same way — slowly, carefully, and to last.
